A Sacred Pause for Co-Creation
Have you ever felt the momentum of your life taking you to uncharted and exciting places? When the tidal wave of opportunity felt so good that you just kept saying yes? And then…in a moment of reflection, you weren’t quite sure that was your intended direction?
In the best of ways, that’s where I have been this past month. So, I felt compelled to take a sacred pause, as I have dubbed it. Some things were absolutely clear: finishing Ayurveda school, raising my daughter, caring for my home, and building my community.
Others weren’t so. They were uncharted: building a business aligned with my dharma. Founded on my reverence and respect for practices that have transformed my life deeply for the past 13 years, I was swept up in wanting to do it all. However, being a ‘Jane of All Trades’ isn’t the role I want to embody.
The refinement of direction is something that must be co-created with the opportunities Spirit/Nature/Universe/God presents to us. I believe to make the most of them, our actual presence is paramount. In the abundance of intoxicating melodies, we can get caught in the myriad of beautiful rhythms that strike particular chords. But to be most effective, aligned, authentic, we have to be aware of the song we’re dancing to and what steps and style are called for. Is it meant for my highest good? Does it resonate with my Soul? Will it get me closer to the outcome I seek?
These are the questions I ask myself every day - and I invite you do do the same. It’s a continual interplay - a twirl this way, a sashay that - which illuminates the answers. We must invite this creative movement with gratitude for the way it unfolds truths about who we are and what the world needs of us.
So, back in the writing slippers I find myself, ready once more to share the practical and the existential. Clear and open to share the teachings of Ayurveda, yoga and Nature based remedies that have healed millions of bodies, hearts and minds for thousands of years…and will continue to.
